Walk Information
The route from Grassington to the West Coast is 100 miles of fine country walking. It is set out to be completed in 7 days, but because there are more places to stay it can be extended to as many as 12 days.

This walk takes in a lot of the most popular natural features in the Yorkshire Dales, but heads out into some really wonderful wild places as well. The crowning glory is the brilliant light that always seems to shine out of the wide open sea and sand of Morecambe Bay.

Mobile Digital Mapping
Digital maps can be viewed on most modern smartphones using an appropriate app, downloaded from the app store associated with your device. Brigantes recommend that whichever app you use, it should support Ordnance Survey 1:25k or 1:50k scale maps. There are many apps to choose from, but the two main providers are Ordnance Survey and Memory Map.

Each provider’s app has its own benefits, but both provide all-important offline navigation, meaning your device does not need a mobile signal to work effectively on the trail.

  1. We walked this in 7 days, interesting walk on remote moors, with hidden valleys and quaint unspoilt villages.
All the transfers happened just like magic, picked up and delivered seamlessly. It was a lovely sight to see them waiting for us at the end of the day. We had a really enjoyable and challenging at times walk!
