Long distance walking or cycling is a low risk activity for COVID-19 infection but national and local requirements do apply.
Please ensure that your booking complies with any national COVID-19 restrictions at the time of booking (e.g. “rule of six”, and quarantine requirements if you will travel from outside the UK). We will advise you on any known local COVID-19 restrictions applicable to your walking route at the time of booking.
If you, or any member of your party, or of your or their household or “bubble” develop COVID-19 symptoms, or test positive for COVID-19, between the date of booking and the start date of your holiday, please let us know immediately.
We endeavour to ensure that our baggage movers and accommodation providers comply with all applicable national and local restrictions. All clients must also do so, for example by social distancing, including when walking/cycling, and mask wearing where required or recommended. For groups from more than one household, single occupancy accommodation and multiple taxis may be required. These may require an extra cost, but we will endeavour to keep any additional cost to a minimum.
Before travelling, please check at www.gov.uk whether any changes in national or local restrictions will affect your planned route and accommodation.
If there are changes in national or local restrictions between the date of booking and the start date of your holiday which prevent Brigantes from providing the booked accommodation and/or baggage transfers, we will try to accommodate you with revised dates later in the 2021 season, if practicable. Some elements of your holiday may be adjusted due to availability of accommodation. If revised dates cannot be arranged, Brigantes will refund your deposit. If the changes in restrictions occur after your final payment, Brigantes will have paid the accommodation providers on your behalf and any refunds/credits will be at the discretion of the accommodation provider(s).
If Brigantes is able to provide the accommodation and baggage transfers on the original dates but local restrictions, or COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test prevent you or any member of your party travelling to your holiday, Brigantes will endeavour to re-arrange for a later date in 2021. An admin charge of £20 per person will be applied. If revised dates cannot be arranged, Brigantes will not refund your deposit. If your change in circumstances occurs after your final payment, any refunds/credits will be at the discretion of the accommodation provider(s).
On a case by case basis, Brigantes will in its discretion consider deferring bookings to the 2022 season but as pricing varies each year, there may be additional charges.
