130 mile circular cycle route around the Dales National Park

The Yorkshire Dales Cycleway is a superb but challenging 130 mile circular route visiting most of the major dales in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is designed to be started and finished in Skipton, but it can be started at any point, or divided into sections to suit your fitness.

Walking Season Dates
Prices are based on the walk starting after 1st April and ending before 30th September. For walks outside those dates, please contact us. We provide a reduced out of season service, but still manage to meet the needs of most customers who contact us during this period.

Walk Information
The Yorkshire Dales Cycleway (YDCW) is a superb but challenging 210km (130 mile) circular route visiting most of the major dales in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is designed to be started and finished in Skipton, but it can be started at any point, or divided into sections to suit your fitness. Many will find it is ideal for a leisurely six day tour, while others may wish to cover more than one section in a day.

he route includes challenging climbs through wild areas which will test your limits, swooping descents and stunning quiet dales to explore. It follows country lanes for its length including many where you will see more sheep than cars. It also goes through many of the loveliest towns and villages in the area, where you can get a warm welcome, have a slice of cake or try some of the locally brewed beer.

The ViewRanger Shop provides Ordnance Survey maps for all parts of the UK, as well as the National Trail and selected Long Distance Paths. Map segments can also be purchased ad-hoc, allowing you to cover any walk you plan to take.

  3. Fabulous circular cycling tour, spread over 3 days. Not exactly the flattest terrain in the world, but enjoyable all the same. Some amazing scenery along the way and many, many welcoming towns & villages. Thank you Brigantes for always having our luggage waiting for us at the end of a hard days cycling.
