Brigantes Accommodation & Baggage Courier Service

Brigantes Walking Holidays and Baggage Courier Service has been used and appreciated by hundreds of walkers and cyclists for over 18 years, throughout the north of England - the ancient homeland of the Brigantes, the British tribes who occupied the north of England in Roman times.

We continue to pride ourselves on being known for our reliability, which is due to our dedication, being family operated, locally based in the north, and having unsurpassed knowledge of the area in which we operate. Daily we operate throughout the Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland and the North York Moors National Parks.

Our baggage courier service provides the daily transportation of your baggage along your route from door-to-door, so you will only need to carry a small bag containing your daily requisites. If you wish, at the end your walk, we can return you by minibus to an agreed railway / bus terminal, to your free car park, here in Kirkby Malham, or to our newly acquired premises in Keld.

The Routes We Currently Cover:

Are located between the Peak District National Park in the south, throughout the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, to the Scottish Borders in the north, and are listed as follows:

The Coast to Coast Walk

Pennine Way, Dales Way, Herriot Way, Ribble Way,

Lady Ann Clifford Way, Cumbria Way, Westmorland Way,

North of England Way, Hadrians Wall path,

and the Inn Way to The Yorkshire Dales, Peak District

The North Yorks Moors, the Lake District & Northhumberland..

The Cleveland Way, The Eden Way, and our own Tributaries Walk (a circular route within the Yorkshire Dales)

We also provide a package walking holiday for all the above routes, which includes high quality accommodation, daily baggage transfers, and various interesting activities en-route.

All the above walks can be done at a pace to suit your needs in terms of time or walking ability, and can be assured that your accommodation has been especially selected by us to ensure the highest quality within the price-range.

The support which we provide allows you to concentrate on successfully completing and enjoying these long distance walks with no hassle, ending each day with some degree of home comfort.

Ribblehead Viaduct - Settle/Carlisle Railway

" Our routes have a mixture of fell and riverside walking, and although some of the walks can be up to 19 miles - length, the going is generally easy to moderate. However, you must be prepared for the rigours of some hill walking, carrying warm, and wet-weather clothing as a necessity, as well as sufficient food and drink, since this is not available over some sections of the walks, once you have started-out for the day."

Mr. J M Schofield

We can organise everything for you with accommodation in selected Bed & Breakfast establishments, or hostels as required, so that all you have to do is to enjoy your walk and the scenery of the five National Parks in which we operate.
