The Two Roses Way
 

 


This is a six-day hill walk through Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales, extending to around 100 miles of northern scenery and interesting market towns. The walk can be for a one-week walking holiday, but each section is self-contained, and suitable for day walks, based on the towns of Whalley, Gisburn, Skipton, Malham, Slaidburn and Chipping.

Day 1. – Whalley to Gisburn, 15 miles via Wiswell Moor, Nick of Pendle, Barley, Rimington Moor, Howgill & Westby Hall

Day 2 – Gisburn to Skipton 16 miles via Weets Hill, Star Hall, Hey hamlet, Lothersdale, &
Ramshaw Moor

Day 3. – Skipton to Malham 18 miles via Embsay, Embsay Reservoir, Rylstyone Fell,
Cracoe Fell, Thorpe hamlet, Linton, & Weets Top

Day 4. – Malham to Slaidburn 19 miles via Pikedaw Hill, Stockdale, Settle, Gisburn Forest, Hammerton Hall, & River Hodder

Day 5 - Slaidburn to Chipping 18 miles via Burn Fell, Whitendale, Whin Fell, Langden Castle,
Fair Snape Fell, Parlick Pike, & Old Hive hamlet


Day 6 – Chipping to Whalley 13 miles via Doeford Bridge, Bradley Hall, Longridge Fell, Dean Brook, Hurst Green, & River Ribble
