This former youth hostel was originally a shooting lodge and is strategically placed on the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast footpaths. 

Keld is a small village at the head of Swaledale and is surrounded by moorland scenery, a superb situation for enjoying the short walks or hikes over the fells. This peaceful and unspoilt village is an ideal location to enjoy a relaxing break from the rigours of daily life or an overnight whilst undertaking a long distance walk. 

Keld Lodge is now owned in partnership between Brigantes Walking Holidays & Baggage Couriers and an established hotelier. We are intending to upgrade and improve the accommodation facilities in a rolling programme of work, with the first phase being completed and ready for occupation by Easter 2007. 

It is intended to provide a mix of www.keldlodge.com for walkers, holidaymakers, cyclists and passing trade. There will be a restaurant, bar facilities, and a microbrewery. Youth Hostel members will continue to be welcomed. 

The www.keldlodge.com available, including washbasin, W.C., & shower cubicle, is:

• 2 Family rooms with 1 double + 2 single beds

• 2 Family rooms with 4 single beds

• 4 doubles

• 1 single

• 1 single  (no shower)

• 1 bunkroom -2 beds (no shower)

Discounts and preferential accommodation reservations will be available to clients using the baggage transfer service of Brigantes.

Prices:

Clients using Brigantes Baggage Couriers  - £30-00 p.p per night (en-suite)

Clients using other couriers, or independent - £35-00 p.p.per night (en-suite)
